MyResumeScan (“MyResumeScan”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates myresumescan.com, an AI-assisted resume scoring, resume optimization, and interview-preparation service (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Service, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — name, email address, and phone number when you register or use recruiter/bulk features.
• Resume & job description content — the files and text you upload for scoring, optimization, cover letter generation, or interview question generation. This may include personal details contained within the resume itself (e.g. candidate name, email, phone number, work history, education).
• Usage data — pages visited, actions taken (e.g. scans run, features used), timestamps, and device/browser information, collected to operate and improve the Service.
• Payment & wallet data — wallet top-up amounts, credit balance, and transaction history. Card, UPI, and bank details are collected and processed directly by our payment partner, Razorpay — we do not store your full payment instrument details on our servers.

• To provide the core Service: scoring, optimizing, and analyzing resumes you submit.
• To operate your wallet/credit balance and process transactions.
• To send transactional communications (e.g. payment confirmations, scan results).
• To monitor, secure, and improve the Service, including diagnosing errors and abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations under applicable Indian law.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

To generate resume scores, optimization suggestions, cover letters, and interview questions, resume and job description content is sent to our AI processing provider (AWS Bedrock) for analysis. This content is processed to generate your results and is not used by us to train third-party foundation models beyond what is contractually permitted by our infrastructure providers.

We also use the following categories of sub-processors:

• Cloud infrastructure and database hosting (e.g. AWS, MongoDB Atlas).
• Payment processing (Razorpay).
• Website/application hosting.

All payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. We do not store your card number, CVV, or UPI PIN. Razorpay’s own privacy policy governs the handling of payment instrument data during a transaction.

We use essential cookies/local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We may use analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage patterns. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect Service functionality.

We retain account information and scan history for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see “Your rights” below), subject to records we are legally required to keep (e.g. transaction records).

Subject to applicable law, you may:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
• Withdraw consent for non-essential processing, where applicable.

The Service is intended for users who are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email. The “Effective date” above reflects the most recent revision.
